"A room without books is like a body without a soul."

- Marcus Tullius Cicero

Don't you agree? I always feel there's something substantial missing, when I walk into someone's house and there are no books to be seen. It might feel less cluttered but it also feels less like a home - a little cold, a little forlorn. Whereas a house filled with overflowing bookshelves immediately feels welcoming - or is it just me?

  1. No, it's me, too! I have so many books I have to rotate them in and out of boxes (just until my oldest child moves out and I convert his room into a library...just 10 more years to go)!

    1. I love the idea of your rotation system - brilliant! It must feel like a whole new treasure trove every time you recover the next lot of books. I have the dream of a library too. One day! Like you, I think I will need to wait on our kids... my terribly organised system of categorising books has already gone out the window (at least for the lowest three shelves), due to Iggy's random system of re-organisation!
